Garden update:

Have sown the grass seed now. (is it sown or sowed?) Anyway, it was a bit tricky as I don't own a rake at the moment, so I had to do it with a child sized fork (don't ask..!). What problems can stones cause anyway? The seed has not germinated yet but be sure I will let you know when it does. Oh yes.

Also on my list of "to purchase for the garden" is a watering can with one of those sprinkly bits on the end. Do you think it will matter that I haven't watered my grass seed?

Have been away in Innsbruck all week for work. Quite exciting. managed to get a day's skiing in and did a black run. Am very proud of myself. Unfortunately not so successful when we went off piste. Managed to end up sliding down the mounntain on my backside with my skis pointing up the slope. Oh well. Am due to go with my family at the beginning of April so there's still room for improvement this year. Also went to a "rock club" and danced to german hip hop. Am way cool.

Stones in the soil can cause carrots to split and grow into highly amusing That's Life shapes.
I note there is no mention of The Pond. I suggest you cease sliding down hills on your bottom and concentrate on the matters in hand.

the badger is right. get that pond sorted. ooh, and some nice piccies too.

Sorry. The pond was frozen when I left it this morning. I was having a few issues with it's edges the other day as i hadn't buried the liner very well but I have heaped earth on top of it and it now seems to be holding. Am up for those carrots. Brilliant.
Mickel: i will have to steal someones digital camera and then all will be able to behold the wonder and truth that is the pond (you can vouch for me- you've beheld it!)

Grass. If the birdies don't eat the seedies and the rainies don't wash the seedies away I'm sure it will be lovelies too.
Can I come around for a picnic?

(23.3.06 15:14)
of course! In fact when the weather is less baltic I shall have a barbecue and everybody shall come (as long as they don't trample my lettuces!)

(23.3.06 16:43)

(23.3.06 19:27)

Mikey, I *thought* you wrote... "lettuces? can you get rabbits please? I'm slightly scared of lettuces."
Which would have been a little weird.

.. even so.. I didn't know he was scared of rabbits. Anyway I'm not having any creatures (Unless i'm allowed to have a cat yet) They will steal all my vegetables!
